Offers Free Dance Classes for First Night Chatham

In preparation for the evening performance of the Compaq Big Band at Chatham Bars Inn Monomoy Hall on First Night Chatham, Ballroom and Latin Dance Champion Adam Spencer will be teaching Swing, Salsa, and Fox Trot on Saturday December 27th from 1 – 5 PM at the Chatham Community Center, 702 Main Street.

The Compaq Big Band with 15 horns and a terrific vocalist provides a great night of swing, fox trots, and Latin dance rhythms for dancers of all abilities. Prepare to kick up your heels and dance the night away with some free advance instruction. Whether you need to learn the right moves, or just get some refresher practice, come join Adam on Saturday, December 27th.

The lessons are free and open to the public (no First Night Chatham button required). All ages are welcome. Come for an hour or all afternoon.

The schedule is as follows:

  • 1 pm: Swing
  • 2 pm: Salsa
  • 3 pm: Swing
  • 4 pm: Fox Trot

Adam Spencer will also be performing with the TIDES Dance Company on First Night Chatham, at 5 PM and 7 PM at the Chatham Drama Guild. Mr. Spencer, a native of the U.K., is a champion ballroom and Latin competitor and coach holding various titles in Britain and the U.S. He has also enjoyed a successful film and television career appearing on BBC television shows, The Hustle and Strictly Dance Fever and has toured extensively with Disney Promotions, The Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines, and with the London Studio Center Dance Co.
