Watch Chip and his team carve a beautiful sculpture from large blocks of ice.
Ice sculptor Chip Koser will carve four beautiful sculpture from large blocks of ice, at the locations listed below. In 2011, Chip and his team took home a bronze medal at the World Ice Art Championship held in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Chip will be carving early in the afternoon, then all four ice carvings will be on display and spotlit all afternoon and evening. Stroll by or drive by - at a safe distance.

Vehicular Noise Parade
Make noise any way you want, wear silly hats, flash some lights, honk your horn.
Join the raucous Noise Parade, this year in your cars for safe distancing! Make noise any way you want.

Assemble cars in the Holy Redeemer Church parking lot from 5:30 to 6 PM. Noise Parade starts at 6, led by a police escort. Follow the procession that will move to Main St. & Shore Rd., and make noise down Main St. all the way to the rotary. No one will be cited for too much noise. Great fun for kids and adults, who often wear silly hats and outfits; this year wear a silly mask!
Assemble in Holy Redeemer parking lot by 6 PM.

Once you have all your photos, email them to us at a special email address, scavengerhunt@firstnightchatham.com, by noon on January 1st, 2021.

Three $100 prizes will be randomly awarded from the group of completed entries! Winners will be announced on January 2nd via our social media feeds (Facebook, Instagram) and our Web site.

Luminaries will be out along the walkways of the library and local churches from dusk until late evening. (Note: the churches are not open). See the luminaries at the Eldredge Public Library, and at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.

Their energetic fiddle performances draw from both international and American fiddle traditions.
Known for their energetic fiddle performances, the Cape Cod Fiddlers draw their repertoire from the Irish, Scottish, Shetland Isles, Scandinavian, Cape Breton, French Canadian and American fiddle traditions. They have been playing fiddle together since 1989!

Cape Cod's most well-known saxophonists on soprano sax, alto sax, tenor sax, and bari sax.
The Cape Cod Sax Quartet is comprised of some of Cape Cod's most accomplished saxophonists: Berke McKelvey, Maurice Soque, Ryder Corey, and Nicholas Suchecki.

With no rhythm section, a sax quartet exhibits skills in intonation, communication, balance, blend, and independence.

Local ukulele enthusiasts goal is to have fun and play good music.
The Cape Cod Ukulele Club was formed in 2014 and plays regularly at local residential care facilities. The group is about having fun and playing good music. Harmonicas, kazoos, train whistles, various noisemakers, general silliness, and fits of laughter occur at any practice or show. They have been described as Hee Haw but with ukuleles.

Cape Cod's own true bluegrass band for the last 20 years playing a mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass music. Always energetic and incomparably entertaining, CrabGrass is comprised of Les Beavan - banjo and vocals, Chris Miner - mandolin and vocals, Dan Fortier - guitar and vocals, Ted Mello - bass and vocals, and Billy Hardy - fiddle.

The Lower Cape Figure Skating Association is a non-profit, all volunteer figure skating organization, which offers private lessons, synchronized skating, competitions and participation in the spectacular Spring Skating Show.

Cape Cod based and performing together for over 20 years, their instruments include fiddle, piano, and banjo, with songs in Irish Gaelic. Billy Hardy is a long-time member of the Cape Cod Fiddlers.

Ragtime piano, plus a little vintage jazz and vocals, keeps the high energy of First Night Chatham flowing late into the evening.
A talented ragtime pianist and occasional vocalist, Sue Keller started playing piano when she was four. She also studied flute and took voice lessons, played guitar, and sang in some school operas. After a wide variety of musical jobs (including playing rock), she started concentrating more on vintage jazz and ragtime.

Zoë Lewis delivers vintage jazz, gypsy swing and latin inspired originals on anything from the piano to the spoons! This virtual “Band in a body” is known for her stories as much as for her music. Originally from the UK, she has made Provincetown her home for the last 28 years. She's traveled to over 70 countries, released 8 albums of original material, toured with Judy Collins, Richie Havens, Nanci Griffiths and the Indigo Girls, has won numerous songwriting awards and written and produced 2 musicals.

The New England Digital Accordion Orchestra is the nation's first-ever digital accordion orchestra. The Orchestra was organized and is conducted by world-renowned music educator Sam Falcetti. Roland V digital accordions, which first appeared in 2004, are a far cry from the old family “squeeze boxes”. They reproduce virtually every musical instrumental sound through a technology that's as versatile as it is portable. One accordionist aptly described this instrument as “an orchestra in a box!”.
