In 1992, renowned Cape Cod artist Elizabeth Mumford created a unique painting depicting the celebration of
New Year’s Eve in Chatham. The first First Night Chatham took place on December 31st, 1991.
This charming street scene, with the harbor in the background,
depicts performers and patrons enjoying the ambiance of New Year’s Eve on Main Street, and
is surrounded by Elizabeth Mumford’s signature black border,
with bronze stenciled scallop shells in the corners, and the verse,
“To the Old Year, Adieu, great Joy to the New”
First Night Chatham is pleased to offer these limited edition, signed and numbered unframed prints (measuring 22" x 22") for sale online, at a continued special Silver Jubilee price of $25.
