Kid’s Programs
Events for kids of all ages, all day long
These entertainment events will provide kids with a really great day of activities including
a Noise Parade at 6 pm and a Bonfire at Oyster Pond
Allegretto Outreach
A musical instrument demonstration group geared to children and schools. They play a wide range of instruments including the saxophone, fiddle, banjo, flute and more. This evening they will perform musical pieces from solos to ensembles to show how each piece works and is played. Children in the audience will be invited up, if they wish, to take a close look at the instruments and to ask questions of the musicians. This is a great opportunity to get first hand experience from musical professionals. (Community Center Gym 1 pm)

Cape Cod Model Railroad
Railroad club enthusiasts are once again providing an amazing setting of buildings forming a town and a maze of tracks for the HO Gauge trains to run. Something for the child in every adult. (Methodist Church Downstairs Noon to 10:30 pm)
Town Photo
Family and friends can gather in front of the Chatham Light House at noon to have their photo taken with other visitors and Chathamites. – Don’t be late. * (12:00 noon)
Kid’s Art Studio
New craft projects every year make kid’s so proud of their art, engage their creativity, and create some wonderful projects to mark the New Year’s holiday.(Elementary School 2 to 5 pm)
Face Painting
Put your best face forward and try out a new character favorite decoration on your face, hand, or arm. Use your own idea or have an artist suggest something. (High School Cafe 1 and 4:30 pm)
Chatham Lightfoots Jump Ropers
Our local talented light-footed children and their jump rope team wow the audience with their agility. Speed, double-dutch, freestyle — the whole gamut. The 2009 top ten in the nation in national competitions.

Cirque du Jour
Top notch big talent includes juggling, animal acts, clowns, ringmaster, tightrope walking, a girl on a flying trapeze, and anything else you can think of! (High School Gym 2, 4, and 7 pm ) . : : VIDEO : : .
Brian Gillie
Brian’s program, Dance the Day Away, will be 95 percent dancing and you and the family will help him create 80
percent of those dances. Come in and warm up with 45 minutes of funky dance moves and some good holiday groovin’. Oh, yes! You’ll hear Brian sing his original song about ice-skating, but you’ll have to follow along, Simon Says-style, to act out all the skating moves. Who can spell the word CHATHAM, with just arms and legs? Try a cool new version of “Wheels on the Bus,” then join in a medley of the world’s most famous dances and finish with a flurry of rock n’ roll’s most outrageous dance fads.

Jackson Gillman
Will be entertaining us with song, storytelling and dance. ”Stand-Up Chameleon” Jackson Gillman magically transforms himself into a wide array of eccentric characters through his many talents as mime, actor, songsmith and storyteller. As adept with children as he is with adults, his interactive performances are seasoned with skillful dialect, song, dance, mime and sign language. Shining through Jackson’s wit and extraordinary versatility is his bemused, warm-hearted honesty. Jackson’s humor evolves from finding that which is funny in human beings trying to be human and often tripping over their own being in the attempt. (Congregational Church 1 and 2 pm). : : VIDEO : : .
Rick Goldin’s Puppets and Family Fun
Rick, puppeteer, is known for his lively, interactive and humorous children’s songs. Children love his live performances because they get to sing, dance, and jump along with Rick and his singing animal puppets. (Community Center Meeting Room 4 and 5 pm). : : VIDEO : : .
Miniature Golf (9 hole)
Each hole is sponsored by a business operating in Chatham. It was constructed in the Woodworking Class by Chatham High School students and will provide a fun and lively activity for the whole family. (Middle School gym 1-5 pm)
Horse Drawn Wagon Rides
Take a nostalgic winter tour through the town of Chatham at the slow pace of a horse-drawn cart in the crisp air of New Year’s eve.

Just for Teens
Activities that will include Wii dance video, poker game and some tattoos. Free pizza and soda will be provided.

Marcus the Magician
This is a high-energy, comedy magic show filled with fun and laughter, audience participation, a dove is miraculously produce, and of course the magic rabbit. Super magic for the young and the young at heart. (Monomoy Hall 5 pm)
Brett Outchcunis
YoYos, Music, and Dance! Oh My! With Brett Outchcunis. Families of all ages will be captivated inspired and entertained during this interactive dance. (Eldredge Library 1 and 3 pm)
Noise Parade
Gather at Main and Cross Streets, head down to the rotary, bring your choice of noise maker – pots and pans, whistles, castanets or your booming voice …. use your imagination. Everyone will make their way down to Oyster Pond to enjoy the bonfire.

Toe Jam Puppets
The Toe Jam Puppet Band performances are very active, encouraging kids and parents to sing and dance along with the band as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs, masterful shadow puppetry, storytelling and just plain old good fun.
