Volunteer Opportunities

Venue Volunteers work at performance venues during First Night, checking buttons at the door, welcoming and directing patrons to where the seats are, or where the lines are, and generally being the ambassadors of good will on behalf of First Night. For more information and contacts, please see the Be a Venue Volunteer page.

Specialty Volunteers help the First Night Committee with a variety of setup work, and with jobs that require special skills. These include Special Events such as the Children's activities in the afternoon, the Teen events in the evening, and others. Setup crews help with setup of outdoor speakers, benches and signs at bus stops, fencing, and more. For more information and contacts, please see the Be a Specialty Volunteer page.

The First Night Committee is the team that organizes and runs First Night Chatham. New committee volunteers are always welcome. Please see the Committee page for more information.
